Jean Kuty Serving as Military and Family Life Consultant @ Hohenfels Army Base, Germany until August Beginning in late June until early August, I am stationed at Hohenfels Army Base in southern Germany serving as a Military and Family Life Consultant.  Hohenfels is a small installation with approximately 5,000 active duty, family members and civilians.  It is located 1/2 hour from Nurenburg and 1 1/2 hours from Munich.   Hohenfels Combat Maneuver Training Center is the second largest training area available to US Forces in Europe.  The main mission is the training of the troops.  There are a variety of visiting troops from the US as well as from foreign armies.  Family Support Systems function at an increased level to provide soldiers and families with support as needed.  As a Military and Family Life Consultant, I provide counseling and psycho-education to help ease the stress and transitions that Service Members and their families experience.  It is an honor to be a part of the Family Support Systems.  While I am working in Germany, Boise Licensed Acupuncturist George Mackie will be providing acupuncture treatments at my office until I return on August 9th.
