Spring and Chinese Medicine

Sunny Update
Spring is upon us – the days are longer and temperatures warmer. Buds are peeking out of tree branches and pushing through the winter soil in search of warmth and light. Even though Sunny loves the winter weather and rolling in the snow and scratching his back on the ice, we are both enjoying the warmth and light for our early morning and evening walks.
Sunny is doing great as he approaches his third birthday. He appears strong. (More)

Acupuncture Superior to Drug Therapy for Migraines
In one of the largest studies of its kind, a team of investigators in Italy examined the effectiveness of acupuncture versus a variety of pharmacological therapies in treating migraines. Their result revealed that patients given acupuncture experienced fewer migraine episodes, missed fewer days from work, and suffered no side effects compared to patients on conventional drug therapy. Jean returns home April 12, 2010 after serving as Military and Family Life Consultant at McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas
Once again my service as a Military and Family Life Consultant is a rewarding experience. It is an honor to get to know and work with Service Members and their families. At McConnell Air Force Base, Service Members are deploying in repeating four to six month increments which places a tremendous strain on families and relationships. (More)
